Welcome to Subturtle! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Subturtle website, browser extension, and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by CodeBridger LTD ("Subturtle," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, or by accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Subturtle is an innovative, AI-powered language learning platform designed to help users improve their English proficiency. The Service integrates with third-party platforms like YouTube and Netflix via a browser extension, allowing users to get instant translations from subtitles, save vocabulary, and practice with tools like flashcards and a conversational AI Coach.
2. User Accounts
To access most features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
Subturtle offers different subscription plans:
- Freemium Plan: This plan is free of charge and provides limited access to features, such as a maximum number of saved words and a limited number of AI Coach sessions per month.
- Pro Plan: This subscription-based plan provides enhanced access, including unlimited vocabulary saves and on-demand AI speaking practice.
For the Pro Plan, you will be billed in advance on a recurring, monthly basis. Payments are handled through a third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe). By providing a payment method, you expressly authorize us to charge you for the subscription fee.
Cancellations: You may cancel your Pro Plan subscription at any time. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and you will not be charged for the next cycle.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any laws or regulations.
- Infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others.
- Harass, abuse, or harm another person.
- Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or otherwise attempt to obtain the source code of the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
5. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (excluding content provided by users) are and will remain the exclusive property of Subturtle and its licensors. The Subturtle name, logo, and the product names associated with the Service are trademarks of Subturtle, and no right or license is granted to use them.
You retain ownership of the content you create, such as your lists of saved words and phrases ("User Content"). By creating User Content, you grant Subturtle a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, and store it for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services like YouTube and Netflix to provide its core functionality. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Subturtle is not responsible or liable for the content, features, or practices of any third-party services.
7. AI Coach and Generated Content
Our AI Coach feature provides simulated conversations for practice. You acknowledge that the responses are generated by an artificial intelligence model and may not always be accurate or appropriate. Subturtle is not liable for any inaccuracies, errors, or offensive content generated by the AI.
8. Termination
You can stop using our Service and terminate these Terms at any time by deleting your account (You need to ask from contact form)
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
IN NO EVENT WILL SUBTURTLE, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OFFICERS, OR DIRECTORS BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in London, United Kingdom.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
